LEBEC, California (Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2009, 9:55 a.m.)—Kern County Fire Department (Station 56) responded to a call at approximately 6 a.m. Tuesday morning, September 29 for a "man down" in the parking lot of Frazier Mountain Mobile Home Park at 445 Frazier Mountain Park Rd. Passersby had found the man and called for help. According to Kern County Sheriff's Sgt. Mark Brown, passersby thought he was deceased when they found him, lying face down. According to Sgt. Brown, the man was 42 years old and neighbors said, "he liked to drink and he often went for a walk at night." Brown said an injury on the man's nose appeared to be incidental (may have occurred when he fell). Fire department personnel who responded to the medical aid call reported upon their arrival that the man was deceased. The Kern County Coroner's Office was contacted and picked up the body between 9 a.m. and 10 a.m. The man's name is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
