Critical Thinking
If critical thinking was indeed a goal for the high school’s most controversial intersession course, that critical thinking was quickly demonstrated by the community itself.
In the Jan. 6, 13 and 20 issues of The Mountain Enterprise you will find essays, letters and comments sent to the editor during the weeks this story was unfolding. Taken together, they reflect a depth of thoughtfulness on all sides of the issues, and a willingness to engage in mature dialogue about difficult issues that may surprise some and validate the belief of others that this is an extraordinary community growing to meet challenges in a way that is a responsible model to our youth.
